Brief Review

I loved everything about this documentary travelogue. It depicts naturism at its finest highlighting all the key elements of naturism, as well as historical and cultural aspects of New Zealand. Naturism as a social, outdoor, family, and communal activity is wonderfully depicted. Naturist philosophy is clearly illustrated and the viewer is exposed to many ways New Zealand naturist seek to promote the way of life. I was pleased to see Māori culture respectfully highlighted, though disappointed that indigenous nudity in Māori social culture was absent, the residue of colonialism no doubt. However, the music of the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand is featured throughout. This film is equally entertaining, informative and affirming of naturist life. So sad more films like this aren’t being made anymore. Whole-heartedly recommend for your viewing.
