The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

found this book surprisingly easy to read and follow. The story is straightforward, but still manages to make the world of Narnia feel interesting and mysterious. I think the writing style is probably one of the things that stood out to me the most. It has a very old-fashioned feeling to it, which makes sense considering when the book was written, but I actually enjoyed it. It gives the story a different kind of feeling.

I also found it interesting how C.S. Lewis sometimes breaks the fourth wall and directly addresses the reader. It is not something I expected, and usually not something I enjoy, but it's easy to "ignore" even if that's not the point.

The characters were also easy to understand, and I liked how the book doesn't spend too much time making everything complicated. There is a clear path on how things will progress.

Overall, I enjoyed it. It is a simple fantasy story, and I think the older writing style and the way Lewis interacts with the reader are probably what made it more memorable for me.
