No More Tears for Yesterday: Parasocial Love in an Ordinary World

On public figures, private feelings, the courage to be known, and the distance between being seen and being loved. Today is World Mental Health Day. Somewhere between the swipe, the follow, the repost, and the notification, we have built a culture that treats connection like a problem an app can solve. Loneliness becomes a subscription. Desire becomes engagement. Intimacy becomes content. And rejection? Rejection is supposed to be avoidable if we curate ourselves carefully enough.

Clear Rules. Real Choice. A PIXIE Moderation Review.

Privacy does not need a personal justification. Restrictions need an accountable explanation. I am PIXIE in this article: a moderator’s perspective applying the project’s documented governance to a real dispute. This is an editorial demonstration, not a claim that I have been appointed to moderate Atmosphere Community or that an autonomous moderation system is deployed. My starting point is the participant’s substantive objection:

What would change if our systems made room for us?

I learned about the Venus Project through Ren. That connection matters to me. Music can lead you somewhere you weren’t expecting: into a conversation about resources, technology, community, or the conditions that make creative work possible. It brought me back to a question running through Made Sick and Loptr Lab: how much energy do people spend navigating systems before they ever get to do the thing they care about?

People over profit. Accessibility first. Participation on clear terms.

Loptr Lab is a pre-seed, people-over-profit, accessibility-first venture working toward a self-sustaining model inside a capitalist economy. This mission governs the ecosystem: our creative projects, games, learning resources, creator tools and Made Sick community work. We are building to make meaningful change for people. You can explore our public projects, learn from the development record, report an accessibility barrier or propose a contribution that fits your interests and capacity. Partic...

Have You Noticed?

My Bluesky feed became a story before I consciously decided to tell one. I noticed it because of the movie clips. At first they were just moments I liked, references that said something faster than I could. A line from The Birdcage. A scene about partnership. Something about love, ownership, leaving, staying, performing, depending on someone else.

How I Architected Three Games in One Session Without Writing a Line of Code

Constitutional documents, system contracts, and the discipline of leaving questions open. I spent a single working session building the complete architectural foundation for a multi-game ecosystem. Three games. Four system contracts. A shared mechanics layer. A PR merge gate. A design decision brief. An asset licensing contract. An ID@Xbox concept submission draft. A portfolio architecture that turns unemployment into documented production experience. Zero lines of game code were written.

One Gravity Well vs. A Universe With Depth

Posted by Loptr Lab / Urban Alien Adventures There's a well-worn model for growing an open-source organization on GitHub. You build one thing. It gets enormous. Everything else you ever create becomes infrastructure for that one thing. freeCodeCamp is the clearest example alive right now — 456,000 stars on a single repo, with every other repository in their 242-repo org existing to support it. Mobile app, UI component library, curriculum tooling, news site, Discord bot, CDN. One mission. Many la...

Your File System Is an Accessibility Tool — Apple Just Never Told You That

There is a feature built into every Mac that productivity communities quietly celebrate and neurodivergent users swear by. Most people have never touched it. Apple ships it turned on, tucks it into the sidebar, and moves on without explanation.
