Scatter the Paper and Thimbles
Oct 2, 2026
Last week's Friday 10 ended with only two lyrics identified, giving us a tie between HL and Fred! Edit: And now you can see all the answers in this YouTube playlist 📺! Among the unidentified lyrics was one of my personal favorite deep cuts, Nai Bonet with her 1966 near-miss "Jelly Belly." Bonet was a...

I Had All the Servants Tortured — Do You Keep Them On Retainer?
Sep 25, 2026
It's time for a new Friday 10! Well, past time for a new one -- last week I missed updating because of the closing weekend of my show. But we're back after a pretty successful last installment. Thud identified one song, but HL walked away with three correctly-identified lyrics, two close enough, and the bonus...

Only as Free as a Padlocked Prison Door
Sep 4, 2026
Last week we saw three lyrics identified (plus the bonus point) -- HL identified "If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé, Two9A identified Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA," and Thud claimed the victory by identifying "I'm Tired" as performed by Madeline Kahn and the bonus point with Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors." There...

Hell of a week, isn't it? It's time for a new Friday 10! Last week we saw 5 of the 10 identified as well as the extra special bonus point! Frodis Caper and Fred each claimed two, and Thud pulled out one lyric and the bonus point to claim a three-way tie! The answers are...

Last week's 10 wound up with four lyrics identified! Two were grabbed by Fred, One by Frodis Caper, and one by HL. Among the unidentified songs was "Cry Little Sister" from The Lost Boys -- the classic "It's hard to be a teenager and also maybe kinda sorta a vampire" film. https://youtu.be/0SL3BB39G6k?si=uowhiUAVyDLkmzzT And now it's...

Still Mad as Hell, and I Don’t Have Time
Jul 24, 2026
Last week we managed five lyrics -- not a bad showing on this blog! Fred locked down two of them, as did John -- and HL swung in to identify one more! The answers, as always, can be heard (and some seen) in this handy YouTube playlist. One of the songs that didn't get identified...

(I Hear He’s After Your Heart!)
Jul 3, 2026
Last week's Friday 10 answers have been posted, both at the original entry and in this week's brand new YouTube playlist! Y'know, for all of you visual/auditory learners an' stuff. Among the entries was the literal first time I ever heard Cher on a track, "Just Like Jesse James." It was a chart success for...

Where Hustle’s the Name of the Game
Jun 26, 2026
It's Friday, and time for a new Friday 10! Last week's post was a little less extravagant, a little less verbose, just a little less in general, so we're going to do this week's in the reverse of the usual order -- lyrics first, then jabbering about the previous two weeks. Except, of course, to...
