i'm okay i promise
Sep 24, 2026
I have been a tad bit busy these last couple of weeks for a whole host of reasons. Starting with I sort of impulsively decided to go to Dragon Con in Atlanta. And by impulsively I mean I called my cousin and was like hey can I come stay with you for a week? And thankfully she was like sure! With my stay sorted out all that was left was the con tickets (which for a 5ish long convention is shockingly cheap!) and airfare (which always makes me weep). I will be making a longer different post about D...

stuff was done, money was spent
Jun 29, 2026
Good morning ya'll! I did some things! And by did the thing I mean spent money to do stuff. I have them all not on auto pay because I don't wanna forget next year and have them auto renew BUT I'm hoping by spending a little bit of money it will help me commit to posting to all these places more often. And yes I know it's a bad idea to spread myself around in so many places but I think if I make this blog and http://asalwaysimani.com/ as the main places to find things out about what the heck I'm ...

we made it!
Jun 27, 2026
Would you look at that! We're basically at the end of the month of June and I made it through with a single crash out or succumbing to burnout! It was a tough month I will say that but we made it through. Juneteenth went amazingly well, we gathered $425 for all 24 people involved. Which no isn't a lot of money in the grand scheme of things but considering last year I don't even thing we got more than $100 total I count that as a win. I have a few thoughts about things I wanna do for next year in...

I am still trying to fight off being overwhelmed by all the things I have on my plate not going to lie. Between things I've assigned myself, things I've picked up to do for other people, and my actual dayjob there's a lot to do and only one of me. Thankfully two things have happened, one being a lot of these things are on deadlines which means once that date has past they're done and I have one glass ball in the air juggling. The second is that Jess (@burstofhope.itch.io) the wonderful amazing p...

is this being overwhelmed?
May 20, 2026
See this is exactly why I don't make promises about having a posting schedule. Because I will somehow look up and two weeks have past and I can't remember all the things that I need to talk about that I've done or even if I've done something at all. Though this time I have a vague idea still of what this post was meant to be it is not what I intended this post to be. Let's start off with what I have been doing, prepping for Juneteenth. Even though I have started earlier this year than I did last...

Some how I have managed to sign up for three different game jams at the same time. Which I will say is a lot of game jams to be signed up for at the same time. The good news I will say is that for one of the jams I have already submitted a game to one of the jams. That was for You Cannot Play This TTRPG Jam and the character sheets for Will The Last One Leaving Please Power Cycle The System. Which I still need to make some sort of cover art for. Right now it's posted to itchio fully naked. I eve...

Over the weekend I made the choice to log into my very old LiveJournal account. And by very old I mean I made it a few days before I started high school and I've been out of college for almost 10 years at this point. I genuinely don't remember what I was looking for on LiveJournal but I'm glad that I can still log into it. I do know I have it all backed up via the LJ Archive tool that someone kindly made YEARS ago but I also can't find right now so I tried to archive my journal again but it fail...
