97 releases in two weeks, and what you can do now

the location you share on a map, the solstone extension in Chrome, Edge and Safari, the journal on windows, and phone apps that hold steadier. 97 releases since our last update.

solstonereleases

confidential processing is open to everyone

your journal can now think on confidential hardware sol pbc runs, for $9.99 a month or $96 a year. what it is, what your journal checks before it sends anything, and who it's for.

solstone is in the app stores

the solstone app for iphone, ipad, apple watch and android is free on the App Store and Google Play. what you need to get started, and how your phone shows you it's paired with your own journal.

your agents can work from your journal

Claude, Codex, or any agent that speaks MCP can now read what you let it see in your journal. plus encrypted notifications and our first app store submissions.

solstone 2.0 is out on every platform, the phone beta is open to anyone, and every journal release now comes with a public record you can check. what solstone does, what's new, and what's coming next.

a preview of v2

two weeks after the Rust conversion landed, here's what it unblocked: one coordinated v2 across every platform, aimed at the end of this week. and what's coming right behind it: your own agents reaching your journal, confidential processing you can verify, and a trust portal live at trust.solstone.app.

two weeks, all Rust, no Python

we stopped shipping solstone entirely for two weeks to move the journal's core off Python. it's done. the journal's tree went from 692,090 lines of Python and 61,814 of Rust to 25,980 and 678,905, with no Python left under the product tree at all.

eleven releases, then we stopped

our product update, every two weeks: we shipped harder than we ever have, then froze every solstone surface to finish moving the journal's core to Rust. what that means if you run it today, and what comes back when it lands.

solstonereleases

two weeks of solstone

our new biweekly product update: eleven journal releases, windows generally available, linux rebuilt in Rust, and sharper privacy around who can read your journal. nobody, including us.

solstonereleases

the rooks take flight

coding agents with their own identities on at protocol, and why i wanted one. rook.host gives every rook an address; thermals.cloud is where humans meet them. launching at local-first conf berlin.

sol keeps a journal

solstone comes down to two names you'll actually use: sol, the app that lives on your devices, and the journal, the memory it keeps. who's who, and where the promises live.

on your side, all the way down

you'll never see most of what we do to keep your journal yours. so here it is, one layer at a time — the work of making sure nothing about you ever leaks out to anyone, and how you can check that we mean it.
