Burger to the power of Jeff

These two burgers are dedicated to all the people out there named Jeff. This is my deep dive into how I create the Jeff Squared burger and Jeff Cubed burger, and also the three other sandwiches I made along the way.

Nashville hot loose chicken sandwich

This week I accidentally made a very spicy sandwich that doesn't look like it would be very spicy. It looks kinda boring. Things didn't exactly go to plan, but I persisted and ate everything on my plate and then wrote about the adventure.

Caribbean drama in Seattle

There's a citrusy and garlicky mess of a pork-filled sandwich that is so well known and appreciated in Seattle that it's in the running for the official sandwich of the city. How did it get its start, and is it worthy of the title?

St Paul from St Louis?

How did a sandwich that's named for a city that takes it's name from a Christian Apostle end up as the official sandwich of another city entirely? We take a deep dive into the St Paul sandwich.

Southern-ish chicken and rice naanini

Today we panini with zero panini-ing

I heard you like lobster and probably bacon? Well, I do too, but ain't nobody got lobster money in 2026, so we're trying something different in this Almost-a-lobster-BLT sandwich.

Blueberry, lemon, turkey, bacon panini

Those might seem like somewhat unrelated words but I merged them all into a delicious sandwich experience. Read along to follow the fruity and savory adventure.

Melt away with these crabbed-up sandwiches

Are you down with cheese and seafood or are you a scaredy cat? This week I tackle another dish my mom made when I was a kid and elevate it a touch while turning it into a sandwich inside of homemade sourdough English muffins.

It’s beefy. It’s bacony. And it’s cheesy just like you.

In the second of my two part Schlotzsky's series I made a cheesy and slightly spicy variant on their sourdough rolls that's stuffed with a bunch of meat and melty, smoky cheese. This is my beef bacon smokecheesy.

The sandwich that built a chain

Here's my version of The Original sandwich from Schlotzsky's Deli. We're talking about a ham, salami, melty cheese and veggie sandwich inside of a homemade sourdough roll and I'm going to give you the tools to make it yourself.
