The UN says Yemen has slid back into full-scale war

On October 9, the UN’s Yemen envoy told the Security Council that fighting had spread across multiple fronts and the country had slid back into full-scale war. More than 200,000 people have been displaced since the fighting escalated in September, according to the UN’s migration agency.

That’s a major escalation on the Yemen front, which is now closely tied to the wider Iran war and the fight over Bab al-Mandeb.
