Gartner sees a $4.9T AI infrastructure revenue gap

I data centers would need $8.5T in revenue by 2030 to cover planned spending, financing costs and a 12% return. Gartner forecasts just $3.6T attributable to them. That leaves a $4.9T gap, with more than $3.5T of infrastructure spending potentially exposed to impairment. The buildout is running far ahead of its modeled payback.
