Saudi-backed forces push the Houthis back near Bab el-Mandeb

audi-backed Yemeni forces say they retook Dhubab and the nearby towns of Bab and Hadeid on October 5, reversing some of the Houthis’ recent gains near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Witnesses saw government forces enter the towns.
It’s a significant shift around a key shipping route, though this doesn’t establish that the strait is fully back under government control, and fighting continues elsewhere in Yemen.
