Juris Travel
studied at Oulu University of Applied Sciences for five months as part of the DIMMY programme, a 30-credit training project focused on digital marketing and sales. The programme included a compulsory three-month work placement, which I completed remotely for JurisTravel, a company specialising in tailor-made small-group trips to Russia, Georgia, and other nearby destinations.
During the placement, I built a completely new website because the previous version was difficult to use and lacked effective search engine optimisation. I identified several technical issues, including a 26 MB image on the front page, which significantly affected the site’s performance.
Using WordPress and Elementor, I created the new website and optimised its content, image sizes, filenames, and text. I also designed a new company logo based on the owner’s preferences and developed a colour scheme to support the company’s visual identity.
You can have a glimpse of the website and how it looked like on the video below.

Korpimaa was a publication online with its own ISBN number. We were running the magazine for almost two years and gained publicity for it. We had 3500 weekly visitors on the website and were equipped to run ads.
Below you can see the ad placements. I have enclosed these because, sadly, they are the only images have of the online magazine. For our 1 year celebration we printed out a batch of real paper tabloid to share to people.
You can view images of Korpimaa tabloid newspaper [create link].
Click any image and they all open in a scrollable gallery.

I was working in an full-employmency trial in Paltamo. I was working at the Online News Publication for the project.. I was the webmaster and the editor, writing articles, updating pages and adding content that other creators wrote.
The publication, Paltari, still exists:
(ei otsikkoa)
Paltari eli runsaan vuoden aktiivisena ja paljon kiitosta herättäneenä verkkojulkaisuna.
