Halloween Tales: Force of Will

ut of all TCGs in print, Force of Will is the most prolific and consistent on the Halloween promos. Well, kinda.

Force of Will was a game released back in 2012 as a direct response to Magic: The Gathering, by former players left unsatisfied by the state of the game.

It experienced a brief boom in it's early years, until a combination of a famously ill-designed and set sequential bad metas killed the interest for the game and forced it into the underground.

But despite the odds, FoW managed to stay alive and have recently reached out to influencers staging a comeback.

The game was run from 2012 to 2019 by Force of Will Co., but from 2019 onward the ownership was moved to Eye Spy Productions.

This made cataloging the cards somewhat hard, and for a very long time we had multiple card databases going on: FoWind, FoWDB, FoWTCG.it, and even the official database.

More recently, the game got the Competitive Archive which, to my knowledge, have the most complete database so far.

From 2015 to 2017, the organized play "Ruler's League" had 2 Halloween-themed promos every October. After that, they were gone until 2024. These are the league promos:

This year promo is keeping up with the tradition: Resurrected Epiphanic Priests (RL2610).

Here is the FoW page of my Halloween Binder:

There's one card in this page that is not listed above: Jeanne d'Arc, the Awakening Purity.

This is a Halloween promo, given on an October, and with adequate pumpkin imagery, but there's a catch: This is also the French Release Memorial.

I still need to double check a few promos, as there are still some I don't know if they are Halloween promos or just look a lot like one.
