How I started my collection

And how to start yours.

ver since my early teens I've been playing and collecting TCGs, back in ye olden times when they were actually affordable for a teen in South America. I'm also very fond of Halloween.

So it wasn't a shock to any of my friends when I began my Halloween collection:

The Rules of Engagement:

Or as I like to call them: The Rule-o-ween.

  1. All cards must be Halloween promos.
    1. No Halloween sets or Halloween themes in main sets.
  2. Cards must be Halloween themed.
    1. No random promos given on Halloween.
  3. Cards should be in English.
  4. Games should be alive or have lasted for more than 2 years.
  5. Games should have a Global release

The Exceptions:

  1. Hallo and Ween are in.
    1. Yu-Gi-Oh have no Halloween promos, they have three cards, all very very cheap and they are such a vibe.
    2. This is purely self-indulgent and I know.
  2. Non-English cards are acceptable only when there are no English counterparts.
    1. This is a best effort with a lower price cap.
  3. Games distributed only in the US or JP are removed from the collection.
    1. This is due to the sheer amount of games endemic to those two places.
