How Black Torch tastefully delivers something symbiotic

How Black Torch tastefully borrows from Naruto, Bleach and JuJutsu Kaisen and delivers something symbiotic

[Where Black Torch borrowed from Naruto]

Black Torch lifted the aspects of the Shinobi themselves, the Biju and subsequently the Jinchuriki, even the overall concept of Ninjutsu got incorporated

The Mononoke of Black Torch are a simple reimagining of the Biju of Naruto, but made more accessible

In Black Torch; the Biju got switched out for Mononoke but the Terms and Concepts of Shinobi and subsequently Jinchuriki got carried over

[Where Black Torch borrowed from Bleach]

Jiro and his Mentors - Monjumaru and Ibuki; mirror Ichigo and his Mentors - Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihoin

Ibuki can transform into a White Snake similar to how Yoruichi Shihoin can transform into a Black Cat

Even though everyone in Black Torch is technically a Shinobi, even the Mononoke; Ibuki has a particularly poignant Ninja Motif, similar to Yoruichi Shihoin

Speaking of the Black Cat as a Mentor Archetype, that exact Archetype got transplanted with the Character of Rago

Continuing with identifying inspiration from Bleach; we have Monjumaru yet again who not only serves as Black Torch's transplant of Kisuke Urahara but he himself is designed after an Arrancar, specifically an elite Arrancar from the Espada Faction

Believe it or not there are even more lifts from Bleach, there is literally an Onmitsu Corps in Black Torch, parallel to the Onmitsukidō Corps of Bleach

Wait, there's even more! Black Torch borrows from Bleach in yet another aspect, both the Shinobi and the Mononoke have Segunda Etapa that mirror the Segunda Etapa that Vizoreds and Arrancars can use

[Where Black Torch borrowed from JuJutsu Kaisen]

A semi secret government organization, three man teams and of course the setting of modern day Japan, those are lifts from JuJutsu Kaisen

Not to mention that the aforementioned Mononoke function as both the Biju from Naruto and the Cursed Spirits of JuJutsu Kaisen

[How Black Torch tastefully puts everything together]

Despite clearly borrowing from Naruto, Bleach and JuJutsu Kaisen; Black Torch feels like it's own distinct world with the tradeoff of feeling a little shallow or hollow, especially if you can spot the lifts and the transplants

The Mangaka of Black Torch - Tsuyoshi Takaki has actual skill, which is why Black Torch doesn't fall apart even if you recognize the inspiration

[Is Black Torch worth picking up]

You may ask yourself if Black Torch is worth getting invested in especially if you're already familiar with Naruto/ Boruto, Bleach, JuJutsu Kaisen/ Modulo

The answer is yes, Black Torch carries it's own weight even if you're thoroughly familiar with it's predecessors, it's refreshing even if you can spot the predecessors

The Mangaka has actual skill in taking disparate components and having them bolted down
