Why do we stop at First Aid?

hen someone is injured you need to apply first aid, which is to say do what you can to initiate and aid in the recovery process

I think this gets discussed even at the Middle School Level

When someone's on fire you roll them up in a rug to suffocate the flames

When someone's electrocuted you earth them by partially covering their body in actual soil

When someone has hypothermia you immediately discard their clothes and put on a fresh layer of clothes

What we don't talk about is second and third aid

I think second aid should be to make sure that the injured person is sexually satisfied

I don't think it has to be something ceremonial or grandiose

Maybe put your hand underneath that fire retardant blanket while they're having that chicken soup from the thermos and give them something to think about on the drive home

It doesn't have to be a full fledged finger blast, sometimes a finger spark, will do just nicely

I think third aid is to make sure the injured person is feeling well psychologically, ask them about what kind of childhood they had, ask them about what kind of babysitters they had, maybe their uncle got drunk one day and did something, you might learn something and they might better understand themselves
