Mansions Dave and Self Retconned Action Anime

I frequently talk about how Action Anime tend to change the premise and do a soft reboot every Arc

I think the most obvious and irritating example is how Noriyaki Kubo changes the definition of every category of spiritual being in every Arc and also completely retcons all previous explanations to what Ichigo actually is and redefines him every Arc

I think I speak for Ichigo when I say that he's sick and tired of finding out what he actually is each and every Arc

Do you know what the worst part of all this is

It's not necessarily that the Mangaka is refining their vision, the Mangaka is simply changing their mind

I think the most clear-cut and obvious example of a Mangaka repeatedly changing their mind is how Masashi Kishimoto handled Sasori

So Sasori which literally means Scorpion was originally a humanoid Scorpion puppet

Then of course it was "revealed" that was just a puppet named Hiruko but actually it wasn't a pre planned plot twist, Masashi Kishimoto simply changed his mind about what Sasori was

Here's what makes this the quintessential example of a Mangaka changing their mind, Sasori got retconned yet again, it turns out Sasori was using a Jutsu to appear human and was actually a humanoid puppet, and the real Sasori was dead and had his essence sealed away within the puppet

Using Jutsu to alter appearances is one of many loopholes Masashi Kishimoto uses to embed whatever he wants

Jutsu basically means nothing, Jutsu can shrink someone down to microscopic size, send someone to another dimension, bring back the dead, teleport a specific object to or from a faraway location and tear a temporary hole through the space-time continuum and of course summon a giant slug

Masashi Kishimoto has no introspection or retrospection that he has diluted the Term - Jutsu to mean absolutely buttfucking nothing

This is similar to how he has diluted the Term - Shinobi to mean absolutely buttfucking nothing, Hidan who is low key a Vampire is a Ninja, Kakuzu who is low key a Mummy is also a Ninja, Orochimaru who is actually a giant snake but is using "Jutsu" to conceal his appearance is also a Ninja, Sasori who technically isn't even alive is also a Ninja and Pain who is actually a series of animated corpses is also a Ninja

Basically if you're new to Naruto you don't have to learn what "Shinobi" or "Jutsu" mean because they don't fucking mean anything

So I initially talked about Action Anime changing the original premise

YuYu Hakusho changed the original premise, Bleach changed the original premise and I have already included Naruto in my list of Action Anime that have changed the original premise but Masashi Kishimoto takes it a step further

As of Boruto | Twin Blue Vortex; the original premise is retconned

There are no more Jinchuriki anymore, all the Jinchuriki have been phased out and in their place are monster husks or rogue world trees, the power scale has not only escalated which is nothing new to Action Anime but has actually been retconned and shifted over to something else

So congratulations Masashi Kishimoto on being the first Action Mangaka to not only change the original premise but conscientiously retcon it

You were already ahead of the pack when it came to Action Mangaka who violently changed their minds and gave meaningless terminology, and now you've somehow taken it a step further
