Prompt Poems: September

Bluesky prompt poems

participated in some prompt poems towards the end of September. There's a few I'm re-editing but here are the ones I'm happy to share. It's allowed me to publish poems without caring too much about whether they're "ready" or "good enough".

Prompts: lonesome, stormy, discarded and frantic

mise-en-scène

a slideshow of faces

comes into view

the aperture adjusted

to isolate

the subjects

wrinkles gathered at their eyes

smiles beam at the lens

his shoulder

an intruder

sliced

out of frame

his silhouette

blurring

into the background

grimalkin's glare

grimalkin's stormy coat

stood charged

inside the static field

mane wired by a seething surge

jade baubles glowering

eclipsed by black ovals

it flashes forward—

for its last strike
